Her house was...this way. That's what she had said. Mat wore his long green coat and dark hat to fight the slight chill in the air. He'd felt worse but he didn't want to get sick. The ever-present medallion and scarf was around his neck as he finally located the house. He smiled and waved at her as he walked over.

He laughed and took her hands in his. "Alright. Let's see what we have here."

"Well burn me, if this isn't a nice place."

He grinned and took a closer look. "A bloody nice place."

"A bed. I know what it means to have a bed of my own." He nodded as he looked at her. "That's a fact I know really well."

Mat smiled again. "It helps that I'm someone who has traveled a lot. I know what it's like to sleep where you can."

He touched her cheek gently. "You're a good person, Rain."

"That's the best anyone can do." He sighed though the smile was still there. "Trust me."

The daring of the kiss surprised him but there were no objections as he followed to where the blankets were.

"Blankets to keep us warm. That'll be a good idea here."
