"Good," she said softly. "Because I like it. I feel warm and safe and happy."

She took the grape, smiling up at him, her face completely open. "What can I do to make you feel happy and warm and safe?"

She shifted enough to be able to meet his eyes. "I want to make you feel like that again, then."

Rain thought for a moment, considering seriously. "I... I think I can let you feel what I feel. If that would help."

"I think so," Rain said hesitantly. "I've been practicing with what I can do. I was able to do that with someone else once."

She nodded and closed her eyes, leaning into him a little more, then opened herself as much as she could, putting all of her effort into letting him feel how warm and happy and safe she felt around him.

The arousal was undoubtedly there too, even though she didn't really know what it was.

"Can you feel it?" she whispered, still holding herself as open to him as she could manage, wanting to give back at least a little to him.

"Good," she said with a smile and kept the connection open, willing to do so as long as he wanted.

Rain looked confused. "But what? I don't understand?"

"I... there is more beyond kissing?" She still hadn't made any sort of connection between the wonderful feeling and the kissing and the sex that she thought so little of. "Would you... show me?"

She looked utterly startled and went up on her knees to try and help him. "Mat! Are you alright?"
