015: Strange Dreams

What happened to the weekend?

I... I think perhaps I was sick. I can't really remember anything after Friday night except some very odd dreams. And even they are pretty fuzzy and far-away.

Maybe I just slept in my corner in the library all weekend somehow? I still feel a little off-balance and uncertain of myself.

Mr. Stark - I mean, Tony - I am sorry I did not show up for my job this weekend. I'm terribly sorry and I'll work twice as hard this week to make up for it.

Was there anything else I failed to do for anyone? Please let me know and I'll try and fix it.

Yes. Oh yes. If you're in trouble and you know her true name you can call on her and she'll save you.

Even sometimes if you don't know it, she'll help you if she can.

She watches out for all the street children.

Or so they say on the streets. The adults say it's just something the kids make up, so... I don't know. But I want her to be real. I want her to be real so much.

Oh no, she's magical and special and she can really save people. All the kids pray to the Blue Lady.

I just... do small things when I can.

I can hear when store people are looking the other way so it's - well so it's safe to steal food or stuff that kids need. I know it's wrong, but sometimes I didn't know another way.

Well, you have exceptional abilities, you're special, and I bet those little kids think you saved them. Maybe you're the Blue Lady's agent.

Small things can sometimes make a big difference.

I think it's understandable when you don't know any other way.

I think the Blue Lady would definitely think so.

I don't think they do, Rain. You used your abilities selflessly to help other people, to help children, and you did by affecting as few people as possible. I think that makes you a very good person.

Because, sometimes, for me to really hear something like that about me... it makes me feel all funny inside - good and sad and everything all mixed up at the same time. And I think you want me to think about myself that way.

Despair hurts, too, but hope... It always seems to be followed by despair - up and down until I feel sick and panicky.
