014: Things are Different Here
Hi. I'm afraid I must have gotten turned around somehow. I'm here in a really large library when I should be at the police station. And I... don't seem to be dressed quite appropriately for consulting - not that the police aren't expecting eccentricity when they finally get desperate enough to call in a psychic.
And... wow. Now that I stop to listen? This whole place seems... not quite normal.
Anyone around who can give a girl a hand?
[OOC: As 4 year old Rain talked her mother into going away to the beach when her father had to go out of town on a business trip. Thus, her mother never died, Rain was raised in a happy stable household, learned to develop her gifts with the help of her Lakota grandmother and a few others, and currently works as a psychic consultant for a number of police departments. She's not broken anymore. Oh, and yeah, her name isn't Rain.]

She winked at him.
Re: *Action Time*
"I was wondering if you could write down for me what all you can do," he said. "And maybe how you learned to get better control of it? Like exercises you did?"

Re: *Action Time*
"I do," he told her. "But first you should check and see if I'm telling the truth. I could just be crazy."
Re: *Action Time*
[ooc: Just put in your narrative what you want her to be able to read from him. And he can tell her anything he wants - even about Rain if he wants to go that route.]
Re: *Action Time*
"This place is a nexus of different realities. People from all different worlds and times come here," he said. "The deities and the City put us through curses, that alter reality. I've made a lot of friends here, one of them is a very lovely young woman named Rain who has an incredible gift of being able to read people's emotions and similar feelings. She's a very incredible woman, even if she has trouble seeing it."
Re: *Action Time*
She gave herself a moment to take in everything she'd picked up. She could tell there were things he hadn't said, but she was too polite to probe for more even though it intrigued her.
"This Rain... when you say her name... she looks a lot like me."
Re: *Action Time*
"But I've heard that sometimes happens here."
Re: *Action Time*
Re: *Action Time*
"Other than that, we can get something to eat."
Re: *Action Time*
Re: *Action Time*
"Alright, that's fair enough," he said with a smile. "Why don't you have a seat and I'll take you to a place where we can get a bite to eat."
Re: *Action Time*
Re: *Action Time*
"And I promise, I won't do anything too crazy while flying."
Re: *Action Time*
"And honestly, you can do any crazy thing you'd like. I think today is my 'the world's turned upside down so do whatever you want' day."
Re: *Action Time*
Raising an eyebrow a bit he grinned. "World turned upside down, huh?"
[ooc: uhh, forgive my type fail on chanting/changing?]
Re: *Action Time*
"Yeah, the world's turned upside down, flying cars that change color... time to throw caution to the winds, I think."
[ooc: Hee! No worries!]
Re: *Action Time*
Tony buckled in his own seat belt and turned to look at her, nodding at hers. "You might want to make sure that's nice and snug."
