089: Ponderings

I just...

I sort of told someone...

I kind of...

... said I felt beautiful.

That's so... so very new to me.

It sort of feels wrong, but at the same time... I did. I felt kind of beautiful and important and special.

I don't quite know what to do with that.

He calls me his solace sometimes and I told him I liked the way it sounded.

And then he just smiled at me and then I realized I'd said how it made me feel and it did.

It means...statements that aren't to be taken literally, exaggeration, often wildly so - but generally with a grain of truth.

For example...calling a person as tall as the tallest tree in the forest.

No, he just doesn't mean exactly what he says.

It's like...well like the difference between waving at a person and jumping up and down and shouting. Both are generally sufficient to get a person's attention, but the latter makes more of an impact.
